Then don't buy they're stuff. I haven't got a single new Lucasarts game sense The Force Unleashed, mostly because that game just wasn't that great, but also because Lucasarts has a deaf ear and mute voice for their fans. Lucidity will probably be a great game, but it's just not what the fans want. For some reason, the fans want sequels, primarily from three main Lucasarts franchises, Jedi Knight, X-Wing, and of course Battlefront. We already know Lucasarts is planning something with X-Wing, now where are the Jedi Knight and Battlefront sequels that the fans have been asking for so long about? Lucasarts could at least just say, hay guys, thanks for your support but these games will never come out, sorry. Hell, they could even lie to us, it doesn't matter anymore, Just say something to ease the fans, make up something, anything.
Battlefront 3 FTW, ahaha

TheForce.net just did a Q&A interview with LA about Battlefront Elite Squadron and at the end they asked the question that is on everyones mind and well, i think you know where this is going.....
Q Last but not least, (and in the ?Had to Try? category) the last 2 editions of Star Wars Battlefront have been exclusive to handheld platforms. Do you think handhelds will be the preferred future medium for the Battlefront franchise or can we hope to see a console version again sometime in the future?
A The Battlefront team is very proud of the work we have done. It was no small feat getting so much game into both platforms! Both Elite Squadron developers Rebellion (PSP) and nSpace (DS) pulled out all the stops to make sure they delivered a game that would move the Battlefront experience forward. This would not have been possible without one fundamental thing that we share with the fans. We love Star Wars! Enjoy the games!
This is just complete B.S. from LA. How could they f-ing ignore us for so f-ing long? Its not fair to the fans who buy all of their **** and keep them in business that when we ask a question right to their face they just completely ignore us and give the same garbage response? Man i hate this.

Oh, I see, ha, you just made it sound like you knew the stuff was there for a fact.
Aha, like I've been saying, no Battlefront 3 coming out soon. I hope I'm wrong, but it doesn't look that way. |

After that interview i have the feeling that bf3 is currently in limbo. Everything he said screamed to me that the game was cancelled/on hold atm and they may consider it in the future.

Free Radical footage in the interview (I just watched
the Twitter questions)?
If you watch it on gttv.com it's at 19:28 and goes like this
D-Rod - "Well, we never announced Battlefront 3, we never anounced..
while D-Rod is saying this Goeff says "it only leaked" over the top of D-Rod's second "we never announced.."
Anyway, I watched the interview several times trying to read into D-Rods non-verbal communication and judge if he was covering up or angered about the question in general. He's difficult to read.
Edit: By the way I agree, much respect to Goeff for droping the hammer and actually bringing up the game we're waiting for. |

On another note, Mr. Pres talked about new Star Wars projects regarding "what George is working on".
Found this regarding the Live Action Series from Steve Sansweet. Given TFU took about 4 years to develop, I'd say the timeline Steve gave in this interview would be right in line with the release of the Live Action TV series.

Ok, the best thing we can do now is to spread the news, show people darrells reaction to being asked about bf3. Maybe we could like tip kotaku about it or something. But battlefront 3 fans need to see this.

Oh yeah, Lucasarts now officially knows about us. He
definitely did not want to talk about it. This can
mean a number of things:
1. He meant they were considering announceing the
game in the future
2. He meant they would start the game in the near
future.

scared of us.:)
Dude you forgot the best part where the guy giving the interview mentions the leaked footage, then he jump to SWBFES. I cracked up watching him dodge bullets and jump through hoops. |

I think you are right. But you know, I don't understand the whole "top secret" thing. George owns the copyright to anything Star Wars, and has several successful lawsuits to prove it.
Why is it necessary to "keep it secret"? Is someone going to steal your idea and release their own Star Wars game? Not without him sueing them and making another million. So why not just let people know, we are working on this, we are working on that. There is a word for that......its called advertising!
