These problems were all encountered and documented in the "beta".

Single 7800GTX , Tried drivers 77.50 and 81.85. Game locks up at first space battle
within a few minutes. Hope this helps toward a quick patch or new drivers. What I have
seen of the game "the tutorials" is Awesome !!!

i am having the same problems as everyone...and seriously WTF lucasarts, didn't you test the game on today's hardware? How come us folks with sli setups can't even get a chance to get into campaign mode without a crash. I guess sitting here whining isn't going to help, but when i spend $50 on a game, and with a $3500 computer, i expect the product to work...please hurry with the fix. I've tried everything from drivers, dual core bla bla (which doesn't even matter when it comes to video resolutions), single gpu, prayer...none of it works...

What about us who are using other vid cards like ATI RADEON 2950? I can launch the game but when I click on 'Training' or try to play, it crashes after it leaves the menu. I have a single core too.

I also am just getting constant crashes to my desktop. Tried the dual core fix, no-go. Tried the newest Nvidia BETA drivers, no-go.
I totally agree with suck-my-yoda... Did they even test this game?! I'm taking this PoS game back to Walmart and talk them into taking this back.... Hopefully I can get my money back...
On another note, never before has any Lucasarts game been this crappy and buggy... I think they should re-think having Panademic make any more games for them...

I think this is a bunch of crap. I spend 50 bucks on a game that is not compatible with my PC, even though my PC overly exceeds the minimal system requirements set for the game. I can?t believe they released a game knowing it would not work. I think I should get a damn refund, and an apology!

7800GTXand AMD Dual Core here, my game locks up only in space battles as a previous member stated, regardless of driver. Everything else seems to run great, but I'd like a fix since I am unable to pass the 2nd mission(Space Battle).

upgrading the drivers on my 6800 seems to have fixed my problem. w00t!
BTW, any chance of patching this game to slow down the speed of the characters/gameplay? It seems to me that everything runs a bit "fast" when compared to BF1. IMO it looks wierd sometimes.

In my case - using a geforce 4 Ti - changing to driver 78.01 works now. 81.85 didn´t work.
So everyone with problems with actual driver try this too.

The troublshooting guide in the game say's to right click on BattlefrontII.exe in the c:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars BattlefrontII\GameData folder and select Lauch Analysis on the pop-up menu. This creates AnalysisLog.sr0 at C:\ for you to email to . I tried this and wrote half a page to explain what happened and what my computer has. They wrote back and asked me to further describe the error. I kinda thought that saying, "anytime you try to enter a battlefield and ended up looking at Microsoft's pretty XP desktop" kind of said it all. I'm not sure how to further explain that?

I too crash with my 6800, athlon 3200 single core not sli. To the desktop when trying to start any kind of game, no errors. None of the drivers made any difference. No reboots just a quick exit to the desk.
Any settings we can do to create some kind of error log to send in?

I have a 6800 GT card, and I have yet to even see the game. Every time I hit Training, or go to the first planet and attack under Play, I get dropped out to the desktop. I'm not sure of the version of the drivers, but I just downloded and updated them last night. I used to have similar problem like this with ATI cards on some games. Now I'm haveing it with NVIDIA cards. Mabye I'll get an ATI card so when problems like this happen, I can swap them out. I think it boils down to they can't seem to make anything thats Direct X compatible.

Scratch that. The dual core hack ended up being a failure. Still locks up.

When I turned SLI off, I could last longer between lockups, but that was about it. I have been running the game fairly well since I did a dual core hack via the Microsoft hotfix.
