Nah, she's not usually this introspective and deep. In general she's a sarcastic, adrenaline-addicted, dead-aim, sharp-witted, crazy genius with a lightspeed brain and a razor tongue who scares the crap out of the civilian crew with her shenanigans and gives the captain a headache at the best of times. (set his couch on fire because she got bored locked in his office kind of headache.)

In context, She's just shot her friend to save his life( who happened to be the ship's captain and is comatose as a result), and is on the run from the authorities because of it. That always tends to make people a bit melancholy. In reality, I was trying out a new style of writing.
