Is it not something you could live with until you were done playing the game? The easiest solution for you would be to shut the computer down when you were done with it, and walk away, secure in the knowledge that it will shut down in about 5 minutes. After you have played through the game to your satisfaction, you could uninstall it, reinstall the nvidia drivers, and have everything running normally again.

My computer Windows XP pro SP 3 shuts down very slowly (5 min) and I discovered that it has something to do with Lego Star Wars II.

Re-installing the Nvidia-drivers for Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT or for Nvidia nForce Networking Controller fixes this problem, but as soon as Lego Star Wars II is played, the problem is there again and stays (even if I start up the computer again) untill I re-install the drivers again.

Re-installing the game doesn't help.

I used the LEGOstarwarsIIEFIGSD_Patcher1124.exe to install the game because of a bug on the dvd.

What can I do to fix this problem? I don't want to re-install the driver again everytime the game was played.
