And without any warning what so ever: Kotor 2 is now on Steam!!!!!

I did find it out yesterday after I quit playing Sim City 4 on Steam, I got 6 page of commercial from Steam, and one of them was about Kotor 2. I got happy, even though I have the game since 7 years back :P
Now more gamers can experience the game.

Agreed. Please make kotor 2 for steam. It is easily one of the best games I have ever played. PLEASE do this. I know of many people who would happily buy this game. Also porting it to mac would be a nice thing to do. But honestly this is something that must be done. It is one of the best video games EVER made. Please grow some balls and put it on steam and port it to Mac. And if you guys are really feeling generous finish the game. I cannot put into words the impact that the KOTOR series has had on me and many others. It is one of the most memorable games. Please Lucas arts and Obsidian and Bioware, get yourselves together and make one of the best games ever made available on steam and for mac.

I can only dream,
Bob

The testiness is well deserved for the way they handled KoTOR 2. An unfinished game is an unfinished game.

Because they wanted to rush it to stores for Christmas, the content was cut and the game was unpolished. I can still deal with buggy, but what would have happened if they decided to just cut out the Yoda scenes from ESB of ROTJ because they wanted to get the movie out sooner? To me, that's not a good policy.

I still play KoTOR 2 a lot, and I am still mad that I am unable to enter the droid factory and kill off the HK-50s.

Is it just me or does anybody else detect a wee bit of testiness in this thread? :D

It would be great if LucasArts released KotOR 2 on Steam. Now that Darrell Rodriguez is no longer president at LucasArts though I'm not sure if LucasArts has plans to release more of their back catalog of PC games on Steam. I mean, LucasArts hasn't released any other PC games from their back catalog since he left, more than a year ago. And the new LucasArts president has been fairly tight lipped about his plans for the company.

Obsidian would've finished project if they were given time for that. Hell, they even wanted to release patch, that would've restore unfinished and cut content, but LA forbade it.

Well, I can throw eggs at their website and yell "BOOOOO".

Oh, right, Bioware. Company that finds way to dumb down everything. Just compare ME2 to ME1, or DA2 to DAO. Or JE to KotOR. And besides, does the fact that that stupid MMO is being made by Bioware changes something? It's still MMO. And stupid.

So yeah, I've got the facts straight.

Perhaps it was because of Obsidian, the developer, that Kotor II was an "unfinished mess," rather than LucasArts...

Regardless, I don't see how you intend to bully LucasArts into releasing it on Steam.

Oh, and for the record, "that stupid MMO" is being made by Bioware.

Just try to get the facts straight before laying down an ultimatum next time. Thanks ;)

Listen up LA. Because of YOU KotOR II was unfinished mess it was. YOU can make up for it by releasing game on Steam. Just do it and we'll forget TFU I and II and that stupid MMO you're making instead of KotOR III.
