Yes i did notice this. They tried to make them look too real and they ended up looking fake and out of place most of the time. I actually laughed at them when i started noticing them.

Just to help out (instead of complaining for once) The Wii isn't High Definition enough to enjoy this game imho. It only goes up to 480i. They can't even play regular DVD's because Nintendo began focusing on just trying to meet demand and never came back around to upgrading the Wii to be up to par with the PS3 Video wise. Just a little history. lol

Holy ****. this game does not work. I have the first one in ultimate sith edition for PC. Every single freakin' thing works perfectly on it. Then i play this game and nothing works. Same game engine? My ***. To fix this, they will have to create a new story to double the length of the game, add some bonus levels, fix all the bugs, and do it all for free. I returned mine. I am going to wait until an ultimate sith edition or something of the sort comes out.

P.S. LA, why would you rip all those people off with that maulkiller edition. You sent it with every copy, just waiting to be found and used at no extra charge

I have to agree with the complaints about lack of content. The graphics were great and I enjoyed playing this for the 5 hours that it took me. I even enjoyed it for the following 2 days it took me to beat the other dificulty levels. My 4 year old enjoyed it for 5 days till he beat it. All in all the game was fun to play but could have used much more to the content and story. Well worth playing but not worth the money paid for it.

The new God of War "ghost of sparta" for the psp had better Gameplay and mechanics than this p.o.s . I was very dissapointed..you have NO idea how ampt I was to buy and play this game, I counted the very days for my pre'order to come in I even purchased the bonus edition with the friggin usb flashdrive thing (what a waste) only to realise that not only did I waste my money..I wasted 3 hours of my life.
The hype that was portrayed in the adds and theatrical trailers and cut scenese (that weren't even in the game) were the only thing good about this crap'tastic sequel. How do you fk up sooo bad at making a game that was succesful the first time around...you know what my only concern was with the first game ... was the loading times.... nothing else needed to be changed..which in return should have given you ***'mouths a bit more time to focus on improved graphics and Story, not too mention that you have the potential to max out a disc... so friggin do it!
You know whats upsetting , is that castlevania came out a week and some prior..and it was roughly the first attempt of that company attacking the same genre....and they almost aced it!
WTF is wrong with you guys!

I wanted to edit this to my previous post.

I think the game went to far away from the previous character leveling mechanic. While I like the you have X points and can buy this, that or the other thing it doesn't feel customizable. It seems more like something that is mere convention than something that will allow you to give subsequent play-throughs different feels or allow for different strategies. I don't know that I'm asking for full on RPG style here but this system misses the mark too.

Overall I'm enjoying the game and this is all meant constructively.

The Game is very short and while I enjoy a play straight thru the story sort of deal between the shortness and linear plot it felt a bit shallow and thin. Not that Star Wars has ever been particularly deep or intricately plotted but this gives the game a very unfinished feel.

A lot of the transitions between game and cut scene aren't very smooth or seem like a few things are missing and add to the unfinished feel a unpolished air as well.

Targeting and camera feel much like the first game. The camera is terrific when things are in front of Starkiller but trying to move and keep a view on things behind you is rough. Nothing as dreadful as the bull Rancor/Maris Brood fight from 1 but still room for improvement.

Can I not tap to select between eligible targets?

Combat is more of the same which to a degree is what I signed on for with a sequel but I was really hoping for some more area attacks that start off as area attacks and aren't the end of a three swing combo. It really feels like I can only fight one enemy at a time. My character might as well have only one lightsaber again. There is nothing say where the character is making a vertical strike with one hand and a horizontal one with the other or where he brings is sabers down in a line through his shoulders.

Deflecting missiles seems inconsistent. Too fast one time is too slow the next.

The final boss battle feels drawn out and particularly repetitive.

The challenge modes feel like they could be tweaked back a little. I'm not going to use the term unfair but the bar seems set a tad high with zero margin for error. On the one hand that can be fun but since there seem to be a number of unlocks tied to elite performance in the challenges it seems a cheap way to make up for shortness of the campaign.

Why isn't there a per level count of the Holocrons especially if there is a trophy for collecting all of them? This also comes across as a cheap tactic to add replay.

As mentioned by others I preferred saber color and bonus granted as separate selections.

Some of the saber bonuses (disintegration chiefly in my time so far with the game) don't seem to work but I do only have the one black crystal. (If that is the cause we are back again to challenge mode.)

My force throws don't always go where I intend. While this is understandable and desirable to some degree there are times when things go to the left which were clearly intended to go to the right. That along with target selection limitations can make the game feel like it is 'playing itself.'

This game freezes more than any other non online game I've played.

Really? It took me only 12 hours to beat the first one the first time, doing maybe half of the sidemissions, and still less than 20 for me when I completed absolutely everything. But I played ME2 for 30-35 hours again doing half of the sidequests and with no DLC.

It's really sad that Endor and Ewoks (cut content) would have made this game better.

I know why this game sucks so bad. It was rushed out the door to keep from getting slaughtered by games like Black Ops, Fable III, and anything else that is coming out for the holidays. Heck, even the Tron game looks cool. (but I will wait for reviews on that one.) It's pretty simple. The moron developers and people in charge knew this game was a POS!! Yet they let it go anyway. Maybe Lucasarts will get absorbed into a more successful company that has higher standards and work ethics. I can only dream.

P.S.
I'm surprised no Gungans made an appearance in this POS game, would be par for the course.

YourFutureEx,
I think that is enough complaining from you in this thread. You've made several posts in this thread, some of which I've deleted. I do not intend for this thread to be a spamfest of complaints from one person. It's intended purpose is to gather in one place the complaints from those who have a grievance they want to air about TFU 2. You've posted your frustrations with TFU 2. You've stated that you returned your copy of TFU 2 and got a refund. At this point I'm not sure why you continue to hang around and post in this thread. Please be advised that if you continue to do so however your ability to post in the forums here will be suspended. If you wish to discuss this further please post in Forum Feedback

What just happend? Lucasarts? Hmm? What was the idea?

I've played demos that've lasted longer than this.

It's was a cool, beautiful, arse-kickin' game... for the few minutes it lasted. What the heck went wrong? Can't someone involved in the game make a public statement no the reason why it blew and how it got to be one of the shortest games ever?!?

I bought this game at a local store... yesterday. I began playing it a bit last night, and continued this afternoon after I got home from work. I got the point where I get to choose to decide wether to kill Vader or not. I thought to myself, hmm, this is where the story is going to take off. But nope! It ends!?

I never played the first Force Unleashed, but I've mostly heard good things about it, and it appears to be long enough to qualify as an actual GAME. I ordered the first one last week, it still hasn't arrived yet. Since I really liked the handful of hours I got to experience with Force Unleashed 2, I'm excited to play that kind of action in an actual game, i.e longer than an add-on or demo.
This product (Force Unleashed 2) was nothing but a rip-off. It was a teaser-play. "Hey, here's a snippet of a game you might like, want test it?" Yeah sure... Ok, I've finished the teaser, it was great. Now, how can I aquire the real game. "Well, you see, that was it. That was the whole game" WHAT?!?!

I do feel ripped-off, utterly and completely. And not because of what was in the game, but by what was not in the game. Too SHORT! It wasn't even a game, it was a freakin' teaser.

I remember when I played through Mass Effect 2. Many, including me, thought it was too short, compared to the first game. But even that one lasted for a good 20 hours.

How can I try liking a game that basically ends before it even begins. I barely sat down behind the computer before it was over. This is a new low, not just for Lucas Arts, but for game-experiences at large!

Yes very average game. Basically no real advancement here, some flashy superficial modifications, at first I thought excellent considering how long some missions seemed to be going. Then I was really surprised that it was over after defeating Vader.

Extremely repetitive. I've still got the challenge missions to do but I'm not expecting much there.

In hindsight it's not that surprising - LucasArts aren't a strong gaming company and it would seem they will never be. They botched the handling of TFU and seem to have done the same here, the departure of Hayden Blackman prior to the release may have been a sign no-one completely understood.

It would seem the sub-standard quality seen in ROS (E3 - woeful dialogue) has carried over. A once interesting franchise is dying a very slow and ugly death. Maybe order 66 needs to be enforced at LucasArts.

So now much like the Spiderman games I'll never buy a LucasArts game again. I think I'll pretty much abandon walk-throughs (except maybe for Batman Arkham City - they now what to do, free roam is the way to get the most of your gaming buck. LucasArts if you even take not of what your customer base say (which I doubt) take note of Assassin's Creed and Red Dead Redemption, invest in the game's development and you'll get it back.

For Shame George.

Before I get into my rant about how much of a dissapointment this game is I will let you all know that I am a 29 yr old man who is an avid gamer. I play multiple platforms, multiple types of games. I am not some 12 yr old kid.

With that said I will start my walk through my issues with this game.

First off we all know the game is utter garbage. Im upset because I am unable to return my collectors edition which I really want to do. i went through this game playing casually in about 4 hours.

Now I will keep in mind that i wasnt playing on the hardest difficulty but really developers who put in insane modes that you have to unlock by playing a game only to double the length it takes you to finish it adds nothing to the game. your just making us go through the same thing twice sometimes three times to get our achievements without adding anything new to our replay experience.

Even if we want to playthough on one of our unlocked costumes the game resets to the default after each level which is annoying and takes minutes of loading to set back up EACH level. something that really i see as an oversight in programming

We were shown videos and interviews explaining to us the consumer that we were getting all these lovely features in a game only to be lied to , baited and switched into this piece of junk we paid money for.

Combat was supposed to be enhanced, it was supposed to be better then the first but i played through the game pulling off different combos aparently only to end up with the same moves being done. nothing looked different from the rest just a simple button mash.

the outfits? yeah im upset with them. The good ending outfit looked like it was the start of something unfinished. the sith robes? yeah i agree with everyone here the eyes look like you just yanked them off the maulkiller outfit and the robes hood should of been left up.

as far as levels yeah i think there should of been more. however I did love the transition between them
the lightsabers being dumbed down really sucked to I loved the way they were done in the first game, btw ive played both titled on ps3 I loved the rpish way you named them by actual planets as far as the power crystals were concerned.

big fights? yeah one reason i LOVED the first game was because the dual system that you used in the jedi fights, at the least I expected fights with other clones of myself to use this same combat style you used before, even when fighting the final boss it felt more like fighting something other then a jedi/sith the whole thing didnt seem like a dual at all and was completely drawn out.

stupid things were done graphically that made no sense if anyone plays the first game to the second you can see that the rogue shadow, the SAME ship used in the game is designed slightly differently between game one and two which means that you lucas couldnt even hold to canon from one game to the next , so really its no surprize that you beat star wars lore with a cane up and down the road.

what do i expect? hell all the problems all the watered down content in the game, everything missing im not sure a dlc could fix the issues because quite frankly major interface updates and fixes to combat, graphics, additions of so much content missing would be almost impossible to put into a DLC. and for the players out there who dont have internet? what do they do?

im not going to sit here and say they should add in stores and this and that and be like mass effect or assassins creed because force unleashed isnt mass effect, it isnt assassins creed with lightsabers. But I do think alot needs to be done to finish this game in its current state.

i think lucasarts needs to get in hand with game stores and other stores that sell this product and work out some sorta recall or something so people who would be unable to return the game can do so, I want my money back im ashamed to say I wasted my time playing this garbage.

I work at a national electronics retailer and I can tell you that I will warn all my customers when it comes to purchasing this title in the future untill something is done for your current customers and refuse to buy another title under the name of lucasarts until something is done for the people that had to suffer through this game.

I can sit here like others and whine and cry and demand all I want, I know it wont change anything. if your company cared about its customer base , its fan base that spans over many many years through movies and whatnot you would have done a better job at delivering a quality product.

I dont think you care, I think your laughing all the way to the bank in the fact that you suckered so many people out of there money so you could send them what couldnt even be called half a videogame.

and you know what thats fine, you can take your money to the bank but in the end think of this , we are your paycheck , us the consumer. we are what pays your rent, your morgage, we put the steak dinners on your plates. and if you bite the hand that feeds you. you starve.

as the consumer we can make you or break you its the way the world spins. think about that when you handle this issue, its not a threat, its not anything at all but a reminder from those that make you who you are. because if you turn your backs on us, we can do the same to you. and if enough people dont buy into what trash you give us then in the end i think your side comes out with a heavier loss. Because really, how worse off am I if I refuse to play some piece of trash game.

in the end lucasarts you took a baseball bat to the knees of your fanbase, to your own lore, to your own canon and to the industry itself.

What annoys me the most about this game is that they had a really good thing going here and then it's over before you know it :(

My bet is that The Force Unleashed "3" will be released with starkiller weilding "3" lightsabers (surprise!) while taking all of "3" hours to beat :(

This game seems to be missing at least 50% of it's content...and i'm not even counting the False Advertisement trailers :(

A Boba Fett battle is desperately needed here.

Another main villain should have been added to fight. Like the "Baron", we should have been able to fight him and his cronies. Now he's just cut scene fodder ala Boba and Yoda :(

Heck TFU1 we were able to fight 3 jedi including Vader PLUS the emperor...here we just fight a tedious Vader.

Sad, this could have been awesome...

The game was too short. I finished it in 2 non-marathon sessions and I'm not any type of serious gamer.

I wonder if they think that making the difficulty higher makes the game longer?

This game has convinced me to rent any game before I buy it from now on.

Being ripped off is not a good feeling.

This had the feeling of DLC instead of a stand alone game.

ok i have a new complaint that i didnt post and think of it till now:

Julio Torres said that they took the variety of enemies in TFU1 and brough it down to a smaller level. They had 100 different enemy types in TFU1 and then they brought it down to 25 types for TFU2. After thinking bout this i was like what the hell? I actually want those 100 enemy types! When it was brought down to 25 all it gave us was super repetitive gameplay! I want those multiple enemies so that i have a more variety in my enemies so that i have to come up with a strategy to defeat them. They went the wrong direction with that choice.

Wow deleting replies now, how mature. The last bastion of free speech huh. To repeat - this game fails to deliver in at least 3 major areas that trailers promised, offers little value for the heavy price tag, and does nothing to rewards series fans that thought the original game offered a great platform for improvement and expansion of quality. I hope fans speak out to Lucasarts with their wallets - by returning this game for a refund. The modern DLC culture that has grown recently is an ongoing joke to consumers, but has lazy development and false advertising all over it.

I had a message in another thread that got locked down, apparently you can only have one thread with game complaints.. ok fine, no biggie.

I got a reply though that said "maybe people should try liking the game first". All I have to say is that I am not a fanboy. I don't fawn over anything Star Wars because Lucas or Lucasarts shat it out. If its crap, I'm calling it crap.

But I did try to like the game. I pre-ordered it MONTHS ago on Amazon I was so excited to get it and play it. I read a negative review in Game Informer weeks before it came out and I told myself "they can't be that biased, that game can't be that bad"... It is, and they were spot on. I really liked the first game, even with its faults I had fun and felt like it had effort put into it to make it a fun game. I've gone back and played fun levels over just because I did enjoy it. I have loaned out TFUII to two people who are also fans so they can save their money for a good game (like Black Ops).

And yeah, Angry Birds is better than FUII. I'm a huge Star Wars fan folks.. and I will NEVER pre-order a LA game again. I will rent before I buy to make sure I'm not getting the shaft. Yeah, I feel that robbed but the POS they call a finished game.
