The topic directory is a collection of popular topics in a forum. With the absence of a search function, the topic directory is an enormous help in locating a certain topic and thus reducing redundancy. Before you want to post a new topic, just check the directory and the first couple of pages of a forum.
To make a distinction between regular threads and those listed in the directory, {TDE} tags will be added to the Topic Directory Entries. Only mods can do that, upon adding topics to the directory. So don't add them when you start your thread.
If you feel a certain thread deserves to be listed, just leave a link here and one of us will take a look at it.
