I've also contacted A2M for clarification on the topic, by of course got no reply. Yet another reason to think they are lazy/incompetent.

There is no reason to talk about the satchel because in general the Indiana Jones character looks weird and does not resemble Indy a bit so it is pointless to talk about his attire when everything else is awful.

ScoutJones,
+> Thanks, but that's not entirely true. The other
moderator that was here claimed to have info
regarding the satchel (and other parts of the game)
and led us to believe all would be explained in the
game. +
I guess that depends on your point of view. As far as I'm concerned what I stated was entirely true. If you're referring to *JediMudkip *then you should be aware that the green star next to his screen name denotes that he is a forum administrator. And while forum admins can perform all the same tasks that a moderator can he has more "abilities" on the forums than those with the blue stars next to their name have, hence the reason we refer to the green stars as admins instead of moderators. Admins are also employees of Lucas Online whereas moderators are not employed at any of the Lucas companies.
Hope that helps clear things up for you and feel free to review the following thread in the Welcome & Announcements forum.

They probably just forgot to put the satchel and THAT'S IT. Maybe it's because he lost it in the Last Crusade, but how come he has it in the PSP AND DS versions? Maybe the Wii Indy doesn't like to spend his money on a new satchel, while the PSP and DS Indy cares more about it. Or, as some of you have said, the mythical Staff of Kings turns out to be his satchel!!:D

I bought it for the PS2 a few days ago, and ya know what? After playing it for two seconds, I couldn?t care less about the satchel because the game is that horrible. What a disgrace. It?s truly like a giant slap in the face to fans. Granted, the Wii version might be a little better (I haven?t played it) since the game was designed for that specific console, but holy crap! What a hair-brained piece of trash this game is. Hey Lucas arts, thanks for stealing the 30 bucks I shelled out for this massive turd.
Not only does Indy not have his satchel because the developers were too dumb and couldn?t care less, but Indy can?t even jump -- all he can do is move around ugly levels in a super linear fashion, waiting for onscreen button prompts so he can perform un-fun, boring movements in order to reach his next goal. Then, you get to wrestle with the lame, broken combat controls during horrific fight scenes. And guess what? You?ll be doing all of this while hoping your PS2 doesn't freeze -- this ?game? has more bugs than a bail of hey, so watch out.
Hey developers, and Matt Hell, or whatever your name is?thanks a lot. You guys should really be ashamed of yourselves. Everybody, go do yourselves a favor and play Emperor's Tomb or Infernal Machine. don?t let these bloated fat-cat vampires make anymore money on this horrible game that?s a disgrace to the franchise and character.

Thanks, but that's not entirely true. The other moderator that was here claimed to have info regarding the satchel (and other parts of the game) and led us to believe all would be explained in the game. Well, it worked. Lucasarts got a purchase from me ...and I got NO ANSWER WHATSOEVER regarding the satchel.
Of course, this whole game is a joke and now the satchel really is the least of our worries.
What a shame.

Of course, the moderator can respond telling me where
to post, but not with a DAMN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION!+
Please note said moderator does not have an answer to provide for the satchel question. As volunteers, not LucasArts employees, moderators are not typically provided with any inside info about LucasArts games and such. Our role is to preserve the peace and try to keep the forums relatively organized.

I have been keeping this question alive for.. I forgot how long ..hoping for an answer...
Never before has a question been ignored.
I thought that, that was a reason for a forum...
Get some ideas from fans who are your customers so maybe you should listen to them...MAYBE!!
Couldn't you have postponed releasing the game and correcting some of the errors?
Charge us more money if you feel that correcting and making this game playable and acceptable would be more expensive to create.
What must someone do to get a decent game over here? This is unacceptable!!

I guess the people working on the PSP were more knowledgeable than the PS2 guys...
Great I can play the game as Henry and Han Solo but not as Indy ....Now that makes perfect sense. Thanks George!

Hey guys.
The satchel was sliced off Indy's neck by the knight in Last Crusade. It is last seen lying on the floor in the Grail Room. I can only assume its still there. I think they very much paid attention to detail to have caught that.

Well maybe it is a time period that the satchel hadn't been invented yet.
No that is not right because this story follows the last crusade...so HMMMMM
Well I have run out of ideas.
so now Indy looks like a regular Joe? and the whip is like what glued on his hand?
Everything he does is done with the whip?
I know in last crusade when they all ride in the sunset he forgot his satchel on his horse's saddle.
Hey! That's it....Ok now it all makes sense......NOT!

Oh1 that was a good one Speedygorgo maybe at the end of the game he says " Oh my! The satchel I can't believe it my long lost satchel" and then we have the closing credits and Indy walking into the sunset holding his whip on one hand and his newly found satchel on the other.
Pam param pam pam param......

Maybe just maybe at the end of it all after fighting
two big bosses your there with the SoK in your hand
ready to open a vortex or secrete passage to reveal
an object the will counter all evil-bewitching only
to find at last hanging on a sycamore branch is the
satchel.
lol that would be funny....

Unfortunately I have to sadly agree with you.
No one has given us an answer. I thought that the forum was to answer questions that we may have of the game, but for some odd reason this is a question that is way too difficult and it would probably require too much brain power that some people obviously lack.
Well I guess that there isn't much we can do now other than keep our fingers crossed and hope that someone would have noticed that Indy was missing something essential to his attire and corrected it.
