Since you obviously know nothing of the history here nor the situation beyond what you've heard from whatever your incredibly reliable source is, I refuse to have this discussion. I've made this clear several times.
I ban you because this is like arguing quantum physics with someone who doesn't even know what causes gravity.

I ban you cuz yeah sure when you say something, it is a flawless statement, but when I say something else it is something I got fed by governement text books. YOU don't be so ridiculous. I don't agree with something just because it is said anywhere or if it's a fact most people belive in. I only say things I believe in. Just because you're more intelligent than me dosen't mean that what I say is said without a knowledge.
And when I say one whould be embarassed about it, I really do mean ONE. Yes I know all those stuff and even worse are happening everywhere everytime. But if 49 out of 50 people do drugs and that last one don't do it only because of the fear of law, then we can be glad there was a law against drugs to atleast save one citizen from it.
I don't say EVERYONE will start doing it. But the precentage will increase if not even governement do a sh*t about it.

I ban you because incorrect according to whom, exactly? You? So, you're now an expert on promoting the government salespitch? Do not be ridiculous, you are better than that.
Something being illegal does not scare people off, it merely adds a thrill. A thrill many teenagers seek. It's illegal in the US, yet that does not do anything to decrease the ammount of users. You may have a lot of 'false facts' users, we do not. People here are told the exact effects of a drug from age 12. We're educated, instead of 'It's Illegal, don't touch!"
Yes, teenagers are terrified of the embarrassment to their family. That's why they drink themselves to a pulp in bars, dress in as little clothing as possible, experiment with every sexual experience they can find, skip classes whenever possible and do everything their parents tell them not to do.
Wether you believe it or not is not my problem. To us this is common knowledge. I did not say none, I said 2%. Two percent of 17 million is still 340.000 people.
It's legal, so what, everyone suddenly decides to use? By that definition, you have just called me a junkie.
I so love arguing with people who have no indepth knowledge of the subject. If all you can spout to me is the typical nonsensical lies governments and parents feed you in fear of future druguse, drop the conversation because I am not interested in hearing more rubbish. One can not argue with a textbook response.

I ban you because your argument earlier was completely incorrect. Most people use drugs because of the false facts of it. Another reason is because of the mental depression. Because of the affects of the drugs people forget all thier problems in family and society and live in thier own dream world. Another part use it to boost thier brain power And ofcause there is also peer pleassure.
The only reason people would stop from doing such thing is because it's illegal. One is afraid of going to jail and other is is afraid of the embarasment that will cause to him and his family.
And I find the fact none of the natives do drugs when it is legal hard to believe.

I ban you for not thinking. (Even worse than usual.)
Why do people (youth) use drugs? To 'Rebel against the law.' There's no thrill in it if it is legal. Most people only do drugs because they get a kick out of doing something illegal.
It's legal here. Only 2% of the population are active users. Which is the lowest ammount Worldwide. In a country where it is Legal.

I ban you because drugs should stay illiegal. What kind of government want to make such thing legal? Do they want more tourist attraction or just want to kill off half of the population to save the budget? How about mudering get legal too while you're at it?

Drugs are legal in your country? I once had a discussion on the legalization of drugs with a classmate in high school: he believed that drugs should be legalized, I didn't. In my defense, I stated that the legalization of drugs would be a burden on society overall because it would be used by more people, and thus affect the mind negatively on a greater scale, even though the crimerate may shrink. And he stated just that: the crime rate would shrink.

I ban you because interestingly, the Netherlands is the country with the lowest native drug use. 52% of the drug users in the country are American tourists.

"It's a way to escape reality"
Figures. My old house was a nightmare. My parrents had problems; one was an alcoholic, the other acted like a clown most of the time. And my brother was favoured over me. Plus, the house itself was very poorly constructed. So I locked myself away and played video games and studied animation. I acted very strange in public places, like school, because I had such poor social skills. It probably wasn't an addiction, but video games didn't help my lifestyle. And can I ask why a dutch person is familiar with addictions? Smoking, maybe?

The Elders have arrived and they are angry. Not at the human race, but at the Demented Ones. All shall burn. My name is Kyral, savior of the human race.

That's still not an addiction. It's a way to escape reality. One goes to play games, another does extreme sports, yet another hides in comicbooks. (I'm Dutch, I know a thing or two about addictions...)
As with everything, it's all a matter of mental control. You decide how long you play, not someone else. You could just put up an alarmclock for, say, two hours. Once it rings, you save the game and quit.

Gaming was my withdrawl. There was a period when my depression was so severe that I locked myself away and played video games for about two weeks straight.
Months later, I stopped playing video games all together, and my health has really benefited from this.
