I am not going to continue playing this great but broken game until the Default Text Glitch is fixed!!!

I have already moved on to Fable 2, Far Cry 2 and Dead Space.

I really dont want to start over and hope I am one of the few lucky ones who can go through the game and not get hit with the glitch, but sadly I see this game dropping to the bottom of my game stack.

Me too! 360 player. I noticed the default text over the weekend, but didn't really think anything of it. Today I realized none of the newer levels I am playing have any bonus objectives and leveling up is just not happening as fast as it was. So I came straight here and WOW!!! I didn't realize how much I was missing. I am also very aggravated that I have gone as many levels as I have thinking it was just a menu glitch. All the holocrons I have gathered and bonus objectives are all lost and aside from furthering the great story, I truly feel cheated. AND ... AND it has been 35 days now since the game came out and still no fix. What is really funny to me they are going to release new levels, costumes and skins soon and they are going to charge for them; sounds like to me they need to rethink that and make them free ... a gift for our troubles. Oh wait, it's past midnight, 36 DAYS since release! Lets go!!!

Yeah, so the game might be buggy, but it's still a great game. So fine, its not up to spec for LA, and yes, I don't think the game's been finished, but it's a very enjoyable game. I've also experienced the glitch, and it did stop me from getting the holocron achievement on the Xbox 360, but i started again and i didnt get it that time. You shouldn't tell people not to buy it, it's their own choice whether or not they want to.

Go the glitch as well. Did not use any codes, bu have changed costume and force crystals from holo's I found.

I believe this to be "the buggiest game know to man". I have of course posted warning for other user in other forums, not to buy and play until a fix is out.

I got the glitch without entering a single code. However, I did use the "sith lord" costume (found from one of the collected holocrons) on the first Raxis Prime level. I got the glitch at the beginning of the second Raxis Prime level.

I went through the game twice on the same save file and it only hit me the second time, on the Death Star, the only thing different i did on that run through was i used the emperor costume for a bit on raxus prime, is it possible that the default text glitch is triggered by cheats? as a kind of preventative measure against getting achievments after you cheat? if it is, Bad Form Lucasarts, if not, still bad form but without caps.

Anything new on this?

I am adding my name to the list of people who have had this problem. I noticed mine on Imperial Kashyyyk, and am wondering if it has something to do with the codes from the midnight launch that Gamestop and others were doing.

I got my Stormtrooper figure with "Exclusive Cheat Code Inside" for being there for the midnight launch. The code I got was "WOOKIE" and when I typed it in, it unlocked Kento's Robes as a costume. Now, when I first noticed the problem, I had grabbed the Holocron outside Kento's hut that also unlocked Kento's Robes. Right after that, I read something that stated that I had missed the very first Holocron on that level, and so I "restarted level" and re-collected. At this point, I started noticing the issue with *Default Text and no tracking.

Not sure if anyone else had similar circumstances... maybe had something unlocked too early in the game, and then when they reached the thing they were supposed to get to legitimately unlock it, the game glitches, thinking it is a cheat or some such, or maybe mine was an isolated incident.

BTW: this issue was on the XBox360 version.

rpm285sm, when you replayed the game after the glitch- did it continue to glitch even after you started the game over?

Well I kept playing on the same save, not a new one, I just started from the TIE factory again; it automatically starts you there after you beat the game if you're on the same save. I havent gotten back to the glitch on my other save file so I dont know yet but I'll see if I cant power through to that point on apprentice on another save and see if that happens. Gimme a day or two and I'll tell you for sure here.
