Both sides got some serious issues. However, we can only play one side because of the intricate story that the gameplay revolves around. Just sit back, enjoy it, and hope that the US only partially blows up in the end.  |

You can only choose sides in multiplay,in story they choose which side you are one but remember,there is no good or evil side so i hope this answers your question.

OMG its a FRACKIN game.. you idots read way to much stuff into something that is supposed to be fantsy and just for fun. Geez you guys are stupid. Just shut up and enjoy the unique game play elements that this game brings. And if we are lucky the sequel will tell the story from the other side of the war.

I just logged on for the first time in years to complain about this very same thing.
One should get to choose to either fight for Pacific or the Atlantic. I think that the DNA altering is the better way to go anyway, but they would have been smart to combine it with cybernetics. It's not morally wrong to be smart!
Lucasarts needs to rethink this before releasing. Could cause a lot of controversy. Seems to be Anti-Stem Cell Research, pro Robots.

Genetic Engineering is not something done with a 20-ton steel club. It is extremely specific and comes down to individual base pairs and what they cause your body to do. Changing a base pair could do nothing or several things. So long as you know which base pairs do what it would be a lot like modifying a game. I change this and that happens. Occasionally you might do something unintended but for the most part you could enhance every single body function including growth to be super-human with pin-point accuracy.
Since what I am going off of is from modern-day knowledge of DNA and genetics the West Coast could probably be much more efficient, more accurate, and more knowledgeable in the science of genetic engineering since this is supposed to take place around 100 years from now.
Rarely, you might have one "Mutant" accident but our DNA mutates anyway on a daily/weekly basis from chemicals and pollutants so technically we're all mutants, just not visibly.

I think the genitics people are wrong...i have to know the story but the probly do test in innocent poeple and Mutate them....thats probly what teh game will be about...

lol...that was so confusing. On topic... I bet Texas is now a coral reef and the Alamo now the fort of the fishies but anyway... "Good Guys" is an impossible term as it will always and forever be a point of view and a biased one at that but "morally" and "ethically" they are both good and bad. Both "mutilate" their bodies by either adding implants or modifying genetic codes so in that sense both are "bad". On the other hand they are both just trying to survive so in that sense they are either neutral or "good". From another point of view they're all idiots for trying to kill each other shortly after something bad happens to both sides. From yet another point of view not too many people care so long as the game is fun... Continuing the topic, What happened to Canada?? They are above the US and HAVE the ice caps in their country so what happened there? Are they all dead and under water? We need a map... And what of South America? Are they just innocent bystanders who watch the world collapse bit by bit? Is Russia flooded too? And the most important question, Where will Santa live now that the North Pole is melted??

it looks like it has a halo type style too..i hopes its an awsome game and they dont put crap like . Language. gore and ther crap like that....
me personaly i dont know what side it is the wrong...the cybernetics side is supposed to bo the good side...and the gennetics faction is supposed to be the evil side.....

I, Personally believe that everyone here should go to a RELIGIOUS FORUM (if there is one you know of) or battle this debate out by personal messengers or e-mail before we "start a flame war" Stick to the subject of GAMING, FRACTURE, AND LUCASARTS or it is likely this topic will be locked and we will all be reminded not to flame people, no matter how nicely we are doing it. I'm not accusing anyone of flaming but I suggest that we stop debating religion on LA forums.
Back to the subject (hopefully for the remainder of posting)
I think that there simply can be no "evil" or "good" faction because half of the people could be being forced to fight for something they don't believe in. There are motives, beliefs, and politics involved in every war but I don't think most people will care so long as the game is fun... I would tend to agree that Cybernetics would be superior in the end because it is more presice and easier to control and repair. Imagine both combined... technology and super-human strength in a single person. Then Imagine an army of these beings... a possible sequel? Anyway terrain shaping will be interesting... I just hope they get it right or I will be ticked of to the end of time (lol not really but seriously... if this is another Battlefront failure then I will hate LA for ruining a potentially fun game)
