Ok, this game gives me hope that LA is returning to it's Jedi Knight Series days! Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy were amazing games (on the pc), so hopefully this new premise and new tech will astound even the most cold-hearted of you... but I must ask this question of LA....why is there no PC version? PC would be the logical choice: 1) the hardware is much more capable than a xbox 360 and/or ps3 will be by the time this comes out. 2) and there are a lot of us who have followed LA games since there was only a PC version, and I for one would much rather play this game on PC than on a console! I would really really like to see a very good version of this being put onto the PC format, please listen LucasArts, consoles aren't the only way to go! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MODERATOR NOTELucasArts does not monitor these forums. If you want an answer from them about the lack of a PC version, then use the contact info listed here. New threads asking about a PC version will be locked and redirected to this topic. Inappropriate behavior will be dealt with appropriately. Thank you.

Yeah, you said it. I don't understand why they are taking Indy and this game to consoles exclusively. That bites major. PC users made LucasArts what it is today years ago by buying their products, and I believe they should return the favor and give us decent games. And that does not include porting over sappy console titles. This should be optimized for high-end PCs.

Sigh...... This really makes me angry. I have been playing LA games since 95 (Dark Forces Owns) and for them just to switch over to consoles and leave the Pc people in the cold, which is a growing trend these days, makes me weep on the inside. I want a reason from LA for this. I have been waiting for another Jedi Knight game (Dark Forces 2 was the best ever), for a long time now, and this game looks like it has potential. And for them just to make the game console only is a slap in the face to me. As the post above me said, where would they be without us pc people? Sigh............

Yep. Another major studio sells out. Consoles are getting the new titles and we get "The Best of PC"!!...a bunch of retreads that any LucasArts fan already has. I guess EA will be getting my money in 2007, as they at least still create titles for the PC.
Vote with your wallets.

WTF!!!! No PC version, this breaks the Pc chain of Lucasarts, and breaks my reliance on them, so depressing, so depressing.

yah I dont PC game anymore but if I could pick the platforms it'd be:
360 PS3 PC
game like this needs to be respected and concentrated on. not put on the old PS2 and handheld crap...when they spread a game over all the platforms, the game tends to be standard....the 3 i said above can put the game to its max, especially the 360 and PC

I am sorry but this is just garbage in my opinion. Both TFU and Indiana look like awesome potential games, but I shouldnt have to have a console to buy them. I guess its like what everyone else is saying, George Lucas screwed up the prequels, didnt lash an eyebrow on SWG, and now is allowing LA to produce console only game, screwing the wonderful world of Star Wars we once new.

think about it, there are already hundreds of games out there for the pc, and it looks like just an upgraded version of jedi knights, we are getting to a point where console power is starting to challenge the strength pc has, you hate to admit it, but every generation, the gap between pc and console keeps on narrowing, its only a matter of time

plus: i must have spent over 2000$ trying to fix a computer i recently bought, that doesnt happan that much with consoles, plus :consoles are starting to take over the industry, pc only has 60 percent of the market, and is declining each generation

I was very sad for this news, happy for the game, but really sad because there isn't a pc version. Why? This game sounds very good.

Fact is, that you can: - update a PC with new processor, Mainboard, graphic cards any time if new hardware is available and you can afford it, and not buy a complete system when a new one is available ; have up to 3 different consoles PS1-3, or XBOX-XBOX360 or other at home lying around, and are not as downward-compatible as promised ! - can use a KEYBORD, angle view with your mouse, use the old "strategic commander (Microsoft)", and not only use a crappy gamepad (I have the XBOX360 for my PC, and it?s pain for me ( I meant every gamepad, not only my pad)) for simple console gameplay. - You could also use Headsets, as for SWGalaxies, if there would be a multiplayer part (or co-op)! I could not understand it as EP3 was not released on PC, but if this new official SW-Part ( with permission from Gorge Lucas ) will not be released on new generation PC (VISTA-DirectX-10), it?s another nail in LA coffin. It would really be a shame and a great disappointment for me, as I supported LA since LOOM and Monkey Island 1 was released ( far before X-Wing)!!! By the way please listen Lucasarts: We need the final third part for KOTOR, as StarWars films were trilogies, the 3rd part is missing. And another X-Wing and Tie-Fighter game would be awesome! I have problems to start the old games on the new OSīs, and a new graphic engine would be nice. I know that we could play and fly them in SWGalaxies, but there is no real story and I would love to earn Medals and Honors. Think about it, as I?ve read in the rebelscum.com and other forum, I am not the only one who would like to have these sequels! Greetings from Germany, Hendrik

Jedimas64, I am glad you like consoles. But I have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind.
1. How in the world have you spent $2000 "fixing" a computer? You don't spend that much fixing it. That money would buy a near perfect computer.
2. I don't care if consoles controlled 90% of the market, it's a respect factor that LA should have for PC gamers for starting them off. I have been with them from the beginning. Sure, they need to take budget and profit into consideration, but not developing it for PC but handhelds and PS2 instead is utter bogus. By the way, I don't know the statistics (where did you find yours?), but I do know that if PC did control 60% of the market, competing against many consoles and handhelds, that is darn good. How can you say "only 60%"?

3. Consoles are in no way treading the grounds of PC power. Sure, the 360 and PS3 were up there for a bit, since there were no background applications that they had to run, but the G80 series and ATI's R600 cards blow the consoles out of the water. And in the fourth quarter of this year, the G90 and R700 series are going to be released. That is just GPUs. For CPUs, nothing that consoles has to offer can contend with Intel's Q6600 Quad-core. Nor with AMD's 2 cpu 4 core solution. Later on this year, AMD will offer 4 cores per processor, allowing for an octocore setup. Intel has to offer eight cores on 1 dye (is that even possible, eight REAL cores?) They cannot infringe on AMD's technology, so I think AMD will be the winner in the coming months, unless they offer a better solution, which is unlikely. All in all, anything that comes from AMD or Intel this year will stomp consoles CPUs, including the Cell. That is THIS YEAR alone. Computers will continue to advance far ahead of the current consoles in the coming years. Thus, the tech that is better than consoles currently will become more affordable, especially with AMD/ATI manufacturing their own CPUs and GPUs, and later on motherboards if they buy ASUS or Abit. The fact of the matter is, computers will always be ahead of consoles and therefore we PC users should not be made to buy expensive consoles for Star Wars games that can easily be ported to PC, being made even better with DX10 tech that is ever expanding with incremental upgrades (DX10.1 and so on).
Thank you.
