hey people, i have a problem, when i run a land battle in FOC the map is all white, does anyone know how to fix this problem ??. any help would be great thanks.

LA has a BIG history of just running off on games shortly after their release. It doesn't matter, I just play other games now. This is even buggier than the ST games (formerly) from avtivision

Dj RebelKev Thank you for your very logical point! I do not appreciate people who say F-OFF and such things. Especially when they have little understanding of a situation. Like you say, why should we all have to wait to build units that are advertised in the game manual, on the back of the case or online. It does say online experience may vary but these ?bugs? mainly include the offline portion of the game (the largest part). The fact is I bought the game in order to play with the new units available to me, however there is a flaw. The new units are not available to me or anyone one else. This is not so much a bug, but a complete failure in game programming which should have been nipped in the butt before it was shipped for sales.

It seems like the problem is not that the game has glitches, every game does... And as it was stated two above me, usually a month in a patch comes out to fix problems... It seems like the problem is that FOC has numerous glitches, including what I have seen are pretty major gameplay (not just graphics and sound) issues... Ark is right, we shouldn't have to wait for a patch for something as trivial as the rebels advancing to tech five, or for the hundreds of small glitches in there... It just seems sloppy, very much like many other things Lucasarts has released... But I don't know, maybe they have an excuse, still, it would be nice if Lucasarts hired people who actually reply to some of these threads...

bold post but when people pay good money for a game with units advertised, they expect to be able to build the damn units. You shouldnt need to wait for a patch to build missing units.

Almost every game I have seen has come out full of bugs. I usually wait until the game has been out a couple of months before I buy a game so that a patch or two has come out. So far, this hasn't been that bad for me, I am not getting half the bigs others are.
Give them some f***ing time to come out with a patch before you accuse them of ripping you off.

Well ladies and gentlemen. I have done a little research. It has come to my understanding that this game is packed full of glitches. The one annoying me the most is the rebels are unable to advance to tech level 5 during galactic conquest. Lucasarts has produced a game so rammed with bugs it makes me wonder if it was even tested. I myself feel as though I have been ripped off. I have contacted customer support and received guidance which does not work. I am sorry to say that my friends, family and I, will probably never have anything to do with Lucasarts again. I used to enjoy all lucasarts products, but I guess there is a rise and fall in all things. My hopes are things will be fixed and an apology issued to everyone. Take care everyone!
