That's just the thing, (especially) back in the good ol' N64 & GCN era, LucasArts and Nintendo worked together on titles like ALL the time. Now a days, LucasArts seems to have pretty much all but forsaken Ninty... (cries) Some of LucasArts' decisions don't seem to make any logical sense. It's very frustrating.
...and no, I'm not a dev. lol Just a passionate, old school gamer.  But I appreciate the kind words. :-D

U sound like a dev. I agree with u. Apparently the game was ready but due to some dire circumstances with the production partners, it was never released. I posted on another forum my thoughts on this. A game matching the specs that u propose would be epic. Maybe well see something like this if they can work it out. Or maybe something like this is nintendo and lucasarts coveted secret.

Star Wars fans have been in dire need of an epic, quality RTS for a very long time. Rebellion and Empire at War were sorely lacking. Personally, I think it would be awesome if LucasArts partnered with Eidos to develop a Star Wars equivalent to Battlestations: Midway/Pacific which would span the entire saga and some EU material. Both Battlestations titles are utterly INCREDIBLE (has anyone played them?) and I would LOVE for Eidos to develop a Star Wars Saga equivalent.
You know, considering the ridiculously rich source material that Star Wars is, it's a mind boggling crime that LucasArts cannot consistently develop the epic Star Wars titles fans crave. /sigh

It shouldn't have to be those eras. It could be in Imperial Era but with a different story and battles oher than going with movies. Like the force unleahsed. As many characters, many planets created after BF2 by the comics, games and TV Series, it shouldn't have to be those old battle in Yavin, hoth or endor. The story could be in between the original trilogy movies.
It would be like, you could choose either Rebal alliance story mode or the Galactic empire. Rebal is the canon while empire have non-canon story. Both of them hold different new playable characters to use in different parts of the story. In Rebal alliance, player's doings will act as a key to thier major victories while Empire's mission dirrectly leads to the destrucation of alliance and universe domination.
So what do you think of that?

Kotor Era would be nice... Granted the Conversion mod gives us that but it's not the same thing as a real game.

Battlefront 3 is long overdue, and has been since the release of Battlefront 2. What would LA use for a storyline in campaign mode? Clone Wars? Already used... The Saga? Already used.... Perhaps... Force Unleashed? Possible... quite possible

Hey pretty new to Forums and stuff but, the one star wars game i would sell my soul for is battlefront 3.
I cant see why lucasarts would not make this, i know they have had development issues, but the out cry from fans for this game should make it a priority game.
Follow up for what i believe to be the best-selling star wars game ever. i would love to see this happen (though i doubt lucasarts will listen.)
If they listen to the fans and made this game it would be immense if they improve on battlefront 2 (personally my favorite star wars game ever.)
ohh before i rant to much another Rouge Squadron with improvements on speed and a duration all the way through the star wars timeline.

Anything that involves a animatronic gun, I'm good to. Ghost Recon , Call of Duty , Medal of Honor , Metroid: Prime , etc. Even if it's on the PC like hunting games, I'm good.

Old Republic was released before the idea of ps3 surfaced... a re-make of the game for ps3 would be greatly appreciated by all. (maybe TFU:III if LA is willing........)

Jedi Knight 4 would definitely be epic, but I'd rather have another Rogue Squadron game.
Rogue Squadron 4 could be awesome, but honestly, I'm a bit nervous LA might take it into the post ROTJ EU era since it really hasn't been done. And that makes me cringe (I'm sure I'll get flak for that). Personally, I'd prefer a completely over hauled and updated compilation of all three previous Rogue Squadron titles. All three would be enhanced with full online multiplayer versus and co-op modes, more accurate specs for all craft/vehicles/weapons, more Prequel Trilogy/The Clone Wars content, full 360 degree free flight control with the ability to yaw and roll simultaneously, a much better sense of speed, and of course, updated graphics and sound. Heck, I'd love it if all three titles were integrated into one cohesive game rather than keeping them completely separate.
I have to say, more than I want a fully updated Rogue Squadron Trilogy type of game, I would KILL to have a Star Wars flight combat game developed by Gaijin Entertainment that would span the entire Star Wars Saga (both The Clone Wars & The Galactic Civil War). :-P Has anyone here played IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey, Wings of Prey, or Apache: Air Assault? They are absolutely incredible.

I'm sure I read a rumour somewhere on the net, that Lucasarts were planning a 'spaceship' game for the PC/Xbox 360/Playstation 3. If they do make one it should sell well as there isn't a lot of competition around (at least on the 360).
The thing I would like to know, is, would they make it a in-cockpit type space game like Dark Star One: Broken Alliance, (which would work well for X-Wings and Tie Fighters) or would they go for a 3rd person perspective type space game like Star Trek: Legacy (which would work well for the Capital Ships).
Here's an idea... how about a game with a bit of both!
The type of game I would most like the devs to make would be a Star Wars Space Trader. After all, I've grown up on games like Elite/Frontier/X Beyond the Frontier/Freelancer.
Come on people... Think about it...
Salesperson: So... How may I help sir Today?
Me: I've been thinking about buying a new ship!
Salesperson: Well... Sir has come to the right place, and, if I may be so bold, I can see that sir has taken a shine to the model over on the left of the showroom, the YT-1300!
Me: Yes... I have indeed... so... she looks expensive... let's talk some figures...

P.s. What if Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood got together and had a baby... That would be a truly amazing game!

Kotor 3.
I used to play all the star wars games out there but kotor has always held some high ability to be replayed.
I would not mind also seeing an updated version of Rebellion from the old days.... or x-wing and a tie fighter too.

Knights Of The Old Republic III would be the first choice that I would want to see come back. But I've been playing more of Mass Effect recently so my desire for a new role playing genre game is lessened somewhat.
Others that I would love to see created include Battlefront III and X-Wing Alliance II.
Republic Commando II would be a good choice because it is a unique Star Wars game with great squad-based action. It just wouldn't be the same without Sev.. :'(
