This a a copy of a previous post. Since I received no reply from Lucas Arts, I thought I'd post it here.

Hi everyone,
Got a problem with Lego Star Wars 2. I install it, patched it and when prompted to start the game after installation, everything is fine. BUT, if I exit that session and start the game again, NO SOUND?!? If I use the auto play, it wants to uninstall it. I installed/un-installed about 6 or 7 times now. Very frustrating especially with my 6 year old wondering how come it doesn't work.
The computer runs Vista 32 bit. NVidea card.

"Error 1330. A file that is required cannot be installed because the cabinet file D:\Defaul~1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may indicate that the cabinet file is corrupt. Error 3 was returned by WinVerify Trust."
An interesting message to receive when you are trying to install the game... what is this? I'd appreciate a fix.

Weird Issue:
On level 6.5 (Emperior Battle) in Free play I used
c3po to expand the bride to the door to the mini kit.
I assembled the mini kit then it floated off. I never
was able to "grab" it. For awhile I couldn't find it,
no clue where it went. I then enabled the mini-kit
detector, the detector is showing the last mini kit
in the room where there is a square pit. Under the
second area where you fight the emperior, where he
uses electricty on the floor. All I see is the green
arrow point down the square pit, I have jumped, fell,
everything possible to see if I could fall on the
kit. No good. I have tried replaying in story more
and again in Free play but the kit is in that same
pit. I am at 89% any suggestions?
I resolved the issue, just walk on each square around
the pit brings up the kits...
Similar issue different location: Ep5 Ch5. The last of the 60 minikits is supposedly in this level. I have used the minikit detector and it indicates the remaining kit to be in the carbon freezing apparatus (i.e. under the central circular hatch which can be opened by a dark force character only). The thing is I collected that minikit ages ago, and it's definitely not there anymore. Is there something I can edit in order to convince the programme that I actually have taken that one.

Ditto on the VI-4 problem. In Free Play, I cannot get the force field to go down for the generators. I have switch all four colored switches and then the two in the main room. I've done this twice and wasted two hours. Please fix this.

I've got an issue that whenever I make a custom character with a flesh colored part when I go to play the character in a level all the flesh colored parts turn pale blue and any blue parts turn flesh colored. This happens to any combonation I've made so far with those colors. An example would be the body piece for Greedo. When I use that the jacket is blue and the shirt underneath tan, when it should be the jacket tan and the shirt blue. I don't get this problem with heads just hands and other parts. Hope this helps.

I found this on Yoda's help desk. It appears the XBOX 360 controller is not officially supported for this game. Link here...

Changing vsync from off to application controlled has solved the block clipping issue, pushing objects and I suspect it will also solve the can't walk up the ramp issue but haven't tried that one yet.

There still seems to be an issue using the Xbox 360 controller; after reviewing the various threads on the topic, it would appear that many users are able to use the default settings, but no one seems to (yet) be able to remap functions on the controller. In addition to an email to Tech Support, I have entered a separate thread on this: http:// forums.lucasarts.com/thread.jspa?threadID=119283&tstart=0
Thank you!

You need to activate the Extras that you want to use each time you play. Use the pause menu (Esc key on PC) to bring up the menu and then select Extras. You can then turn them on or off as you wish.

I seem to be having a problem getting Extras to work. I the found power bricks, then went to the cantina and swapped some studs for the extra, but then they either disappear after the next game load, or they never seem to be in effect at all. The Extras appear to be purchased (no stud count required under the name), but I can't see any results.

THIRD time my son and I have had to abandon our progress in a level due to a bug:
Episode VI, Chapter 3: Speeder Showdown
At the end where Luke and Leia battle the AT-AT - Leia got flung into the AT-AT while Luke ended up on the ground running helplessly around the AT-AT's legs. We spent thirty minutes dropping in and out, trying -ahem- various positions, even tried putting Luke way in the distance and lining him up with Leia's blaster fire hoping that she could kill him and allow him to respawn on the platform - all to no avail. No way to get back up on the platform, no way to die and respawn, and no way to pull both levers and end the level. Had to abandon our progress in the level. Didn't think to turn off Invincibility to see if that helped.
It takes away a LOT from the game to abandon one's work to bugs and have to play levels over again. Not cool. You've got our money - where's the patch, George?

Another problem I encountered several times now: in VI/4 there's a force field blocking the final room where you have to fix those charges. Sometimes the force filed does not collapse correctly when the switches are activated in the generator central room. This seems to have something to do with how close your computer P2 stands to the second switch. If he's too far away and needs too long get to the switch, the force field does not collapse - but the switches stay in 'down' position and you can't retry...
The problems in VI/2 where the left rotating target does not explode seem to be caused by a strange grey block within the object that does not seem to belong there. If you take a look at the target, you sometimes see it flash through the rotating parts. There's nothing like that on the right side. This thing seems to block the laser bolts in some of the gun positions. So to finish the level, you have to try different gun angles.

I really don't want to seem impatient, but are there ANY news about the patch?
Btw. some minor grafic glitches I encountered on my machine:
- In the cutscene, where Luke hangs under the At-At, his head and helmet appear transparent.
- The little grey/orange car, that can be built in IV/1 and Lego City has some strange, pulsating tranparent-black things around it - they look stupid and I don't think, they should be there.
No big deal though...

You message indicates that the "camera stuck" bug is under review. The message was dated 9/18. It's been over a month; any update? Thanks!<<<
I was wondering about that, too.
Don't want to disencourage anyone, but the realase of the Patch for LSW Part 1 took over one year to be released.

I'd suggest that if another patch is made available, that it allow cutscenes to be skipped with Esc or Enter or some other button. I really like the way they look--every single one--but sometimes I like to replay story mode and having to sit through them every time can get repetitive. I realize this isn't a camera, controller or Free Play issue but thought I'd bring it up since this is a tracking thread for issues...
