If anyone still checks this discussion I say we compile the ideas already mentioned add some new ones and then email it to Lucasarts. If you want to I am starting a thread on the star wars knights of the old republic 2 discussion to get a new KotOR called Ideas for plots, items, and characters for KotOR 3.

I wish in the first game they would of made it so you could work for the north koreans i mean you are a mercenary you should be able to work for everyone. So i hope they incorporate that into mercenaries 2.

Not that this comes as any great surprise but LucasArts won't be publishing Pandemic's Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. EA put out a press release yesterday announcing they would be the publisher for Mercs 2. I guess Pandemic Studios decided to go with the publisher with the bigger footprint.

Include real- time news footage.
Example:
You help the russian mafia steal a couple of FROG- 7s and then a corresponding news brief will follow: "Today, a daring heist was carried out by the russian mafia which involved the theft of 3 FROG- 7 trucks. The local authorities were unable to stop the thieves and they believe that the heist was carried out with the help of a mercenary." This would make the game seem more realistic, plus it would allow the player to find out what exactly the rest of the world thought of them.

i must admit i love this game and while reading these posts i had an idea come o mind for multyplayer seeing as u would have a multiplayer server which had no time l;imit you could carry on with normal mission and choose which faction you could work for and do specific missions for them and then other people around the world playing on the server would be working for an enemy faction they would be able to receive a contract off ur CO then they would have to hunt you down like an assasin on assasin or for e.g. the film Mr and Mrs. Smith :P sorry for any incorect spelling

with the ps3 and its blu-ray tech it sould hold nearly five copies of the first game, and the harddrive could be used to store data on the status of the entire enviroment and allow for a true sandbox game. this game could define the next generation of gaming

If you went on the NK's side though, there would have to be near-disasterous consequences. ExOps wants you to be AGAINST the NKs, you'd be ... I dunno ... excommunicated or something XD and another merc is hired to kill you =P
I like the idea =D Just need to think about what it would mean.

Ok here's the things id love to be in Mercs 2:
1)Have it so the AI civilians so they wont turn right into you and cause your jeep or whatever your in to run them over or cause collateral.
2)Keep with the Star Wars references. Those are great.
3)Add a mode called angry rampage or something to that effect.
4)Custom character creation.
5)Have enough factions for you to anihilate one and be able to get all 3 face cards (if they are still going to do that)
6)If there is a faction like the NK make it so you can be on thier side.

i just read the whole thread and loved MERC. personally i would like to do the following:
1.the game world should evolve in time, like factions would have their battles and the next day you get an e-mail from fiona sayin "faction A has destroyed/captured base B and taken hostages. here are cordinates" and there would be a wrecked base, some hostages in a building and faction B may request you save the hostages for $. also i do not like the commanding of troops cause you are hired to replace them, but more rewards for being nice to factions (if you are highly favoured by faction C then you could ask them to make peace with B, but you must be very friendly to them. These events would occour over the course of the game and you interaction will affect the final world, like in the end faction A could own the scenario while you friend's save has faction A reduced to rubble
2.Bases you should not have a fort, but maybe just a garage with a helipad on top.
3.make the civillian veicles much more diverse multiple paint jobs.
4.in a civillian car you should be able to use your guns in it and have drive-bys's like the tank system.
5.the enviroment should de fully destructible, with cosmetis damage to building, and ove time if one is destroyed/damaged then civillians should rebuild them over time.
6.MoM supply drops should be totally customized but each part (C4,medkit,M4 ammo,) have a cost associated with it and be summed up.
7. in terms of multiplayer, you should only have less than 6 mercs (generous) otherwise it becomes to focoused on the mercs, but i would really want a 2-player splitscreen co-op
8.weapons. i want real weapons (AK-47, P90,), at least 50 available one, and have 2 weapons, plus a pistol and two types of grenades
9.for outfits i like to customive shirt, pants, hat etc, have body armor for sale, disguises similar to the car system.
