Hey I was wondering if any of you could help me. I have been playing KOTOR lately and have been getting pretty far. I played it in the past but ran into a bug, that well needless to say made me quit for awhile so now that I have been playing it again I have been using a strategy guide occasionally to help keep me on track to get back to where I was.
Now here is what is going on. I am a Dark Jedi with capped Dark points (dark mastery, pure evil whatever you want to call it) and I am a male scoundrel. Well According to the strat guide. I talk to Bastila and can have 4 convos before I find my first Star map. Then after I find the first one I must at least be on #5 before I find the second one. Well I did all of them. Up to number 7 then found the next map. Well it says I must at least do #8 before I get the 3rd map or the romance subplot ends.
Now that would be all find and dandy if I weren't standing in front of the 3rd one racking my brain on how to get her to talk to me some more. I'll admit I had been a bit harsh with her in the past, though mostly I teased her and taunted her(Mostly acting vain saying I knew you wanted me and responses like that). I got her worked up and then got her to laugh at me and call me a very odd man. But the last convo we had was me asking her why I was brought on this quest. Which is #7 according to strat guide. In #8 it says she confesses how she has come to depend on me. I know I haven't gotten that one yet. And like I said I'm standing at star map #3.
Most the convos I had with Bastila after the 2nd map, pertained to her mother. I convinced her to keep the holocron of her father. But since then all she will say is what she knows about the place we are on and shared visions. I am currently on Kashyyyk.

Umm I have the latest patch. 1.3, and such. So yeah if anyone can help because my next most recent save is back on taris fighting Davik and Calo. I'd really not want to have to make up the past 15 hours of gameplay if I can advoid it.

Should I leave Kashyyyk and go to like umm korriban or Manaan and just leave the star map here for now? I know this is a lot of reading for you guys but I just wanted to make sure I gave all the info I could so you could help me easier.

Also if you are wondering as to why the reply to my own post its because I went over the limit hehe.

EDITED BY Emkay1001: May 22, 2006 11:06 AM
SPOILERS

Hmm... if I remember correctly Bastilla is pretty sensitive to what you actually say to her. In my game I actually very much tried not to tease her or provoke her at all (I was on lightside though). If I remember correctly the "kiss scene" (the key point in the romance plot) occurred on Ebon Hawk right before being intercepted by the Leviathan (which in turn occurs in transit between planets before finding the last Star Map).
If were you I would just continue with the game, get back to Ebon Hawk and see if you get to talk with her more.
You may want to play with KOTOR Savegame Editor (KSE) and set some variables (global and for Bastilla) there to get on with the romance plot (you are going to have to figure out yourself which variables are responsible for the plot).
You may also want to check this forum out which may assist you more.

Sorry, I can't help you more.

Yeah according to the book see can be sensitive. However it the only time it says you can actually "hurt" her enough to end the romance subplot is when she states that she never made it past padawan. It says if you mock her at this point the romance subplot ends.
However I appreciate what you did send I will see if I can figure that out from the SGE. If anyone else has help I'd also appreciate any more info on what may be wrong.

Also if anyone knows the specifics to edit in the KSE I'd really appreciate it. Like I said. This time around I've been playing as a dark jedi. But yeah I've found some things that seem to be it. But still nothing so far. Some things are kinda confusing. Others aren't.

Unfortunately, I no longer have KOTOR so I cannot assist you in locating the proper variables in KSE. Like I posted before: perhaps this forum would be more helpful

Yeah I have been trying that forums. However I figure the more I use both forums The more likely I am to get a response that will fix the problem exactly. I have gotten some nice things from this one. From you actually Emkay. And on the other one I have gotten some nice information, that may work.

You are more likely to get a working response from the second forum I guess. I can only confirm that you don't need to complete or even have "Bastila's mother quest" (I never had it in my game). There is also one more forum you may want to try. It's the one maintained by KOTOR developer - BioWare. You can find it here.

Well EMkay I'd like to thank you for your help. I finally found the frickin variable that I needed to change. After over 10 hours of working on the game I did it. I finally got it back to normal. And I got the quest completed. Thank you again.
