ME3 is pretty much linear. You get to make a few choices who to side with, but the results will be the same. It won't matter if you choose to side with A or B. Also, any choices you made in ME1 and 2 are rendered useless. Like, say, the Rachni queen on Noveria? Pretty big plotpoint? Well, if you saved her, she's there in 3. If you killed her, it's a clone. The dialog is identical either way.

Whatever you do or did, there's three endings. A Blue explosion, A Red explosion, and a Green explosion. If you switch the screen to Black/White, there is only 1 ending. All choices and actions and work of three full games was for nought. They make no difference (au contraire to Bioware's numerous pressreleases and converances about "thousands of endings" and "every choice matters" and "What you did in 1 changes the ending".

You still get the Paragon/Renegade responses, but they change one dialog line and then the conversations resume along a predetermined path. The interrupts happen maybe 4 times in the whole game.

Actually I never '"bought" a DLC in my life. Always considered it's too much of wasting money. But that won't stop any of us from playng them will it?

So ME3 is completely linear?

Completed Mass Effect 1 with 3 different endings. Graphic Lags and Audio issues is the only thing that annoyed me about this game.

Oh! You're learning! Good! :D

There's no free-roaming in ME3, really. The game is pretty much a rollercoaster ride with a few random pitstops.

At least I hope ME3 got a better idea for this free-roam issue?

Just bought Mass Effect 1 DLCs, "Bring down the sky" and "Pinnacle Station".

Well perhaps.... "bought" might be an incorrect word. ;)

None, that's why everyone hated it even more than the Mako :p

I wouldn't play it on Xbox if they paid me for it. But I did have some issues with the jumprockets.

Uncontrollable? I play this in PC and I have no problem driving it. I suppose this is problem in consoles.

Final Fantasy XIII (PS3) Chinese Edition (Japanese Audio - English subtitles/menu)

Amusing and disgusting to see how much the story and characterization were butchered by the American dub.

Though I have to mention that, as far as I can tell, the game isn't as bad as I've heard people say.

No, people hated it because you spend about 75% of the time in mass effect 1 driving around aimlessly in a rather uncontrollable car trying to climb up another mountain from every possible angle. :p

So it's really no wonder ME2 felt incredibly short compared to ME1.. hm.

Scanning is the replacement of landing on every planet and driving around to find resources. Although I have to admit scanning took less time than driving around aimlessly in the Mako. :p You won't encounter it until ME2.

Yes I noticed that Mako seems to be the only rideable vehicle in ME1. But I don't suppose that's why people hate it?

And what was that scanning you mentioned?

It was fun, yea. :p But it did get a bit tedious on every planet :p (the scanning in 2 was no better, though)

ME3

I've decided to do what everyone else does. Quit the game immediately after Shepard's final speech, and wait for the (hopefully) post-campaign DLC.

You'll want to change the face in ME2, anyway, because the models and tectures changed immensely between the two games.

Yes, it is bad.
