In Slant Six latest offering Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City people have found in the files of the game what they say are images from the cancelled Slant Six Battlefront III game

I think that this is more evidence that Spark is making Battlefront 3. From Spark's twitter:

"@sparkunlimited did any of the people working on the TPAA sequel work on any of the entries from the series before it?:)
@KaoticKangaroo I think that was confirmed some time ago."

https://twitter.co m/?category=people#!/sparkunlimited

Wasn't it confirmed that several former Pandemic employees were hired by Spark?
May the Force be with you, Battlefront 3.

May or may not be relevant, but game informer is revealing a brand new, jaw dropping game in the next issue!

https://t witter.com/#!/Andrew_Reiner/status/181867834715021312

Like i said, may or may not be relevant, but it would be interesting to see if it was battlefront 3 :D

Never mind, the hex is right... I was looking at the wrong grouping down there. Anyway, this binary doesn't translate into anything meaningful in ascii or unicode as far as I can tell.

Here's my final translation from what I saw on the twitter page.

1010 0111 - 167 - A 7
0000 0110 - 4 - 0 4
0011 0101 - 53 - 3 5
1101 0000 - 208 - D 0
0001 0110 - 23 - 1 7
1010 0111 - 167 - A 7
0100 1001 - 73 - 4 9
0000 0001 - 1 - 0 1

Unless they're using a 1's or 2's compliment... but I don't feel like translating anymore right now.

Okay, it's nothing meaningful in 2's compliment either. Now I'm really done.

Hey guys... it's zach_tx1. I changed my account to use my username on PS3, XBOX and Steam. There are the binary conversions assuming the tweets are based on 8 bit strings like posted.

0000 0001 = 1
0100 1001 = 73
1010 0111 = 167
0001 0110 = 22
1101 0000 = 208
0011 0101 = 53
0000 0100 = 4
0000 0001 = 1

I'll try converting to different bit lengths to hex and see if there's a hidden message.

BTW: I've been gone for about a year now... what have I missed? :)

Update, I checked the posts and they are going on 8-bit translations, so the hex below is wrong... I'll take a look at it later.

If anyone is interested, here's a facebook petition for SWBF3:

I have a feeling you all already know about battlefront3.net and Tuggie Game Reviews, but the facebook page connects you to all those in addition to regular updates.

But, in converting binary, 00000001 is 1, not 128. I understand how regular binary conversions work. I'm not sure how you're trying to convert them...

EDIT: I think I understand what you're trying to say now. If you take the number and convert it as if it were backwards, e.g. 10000000 instead of 00000001

At any rate, I'm fairly certain that Spark alluded to converting to hexadecimal first.

Latest Number is 00000001 This seems to be an EOT bit if my remembering is right so what we are looking at is this

And of course now I look again and this is the same it is not EOT infact 00000001 is SOH hmmm...

00000001
01001001
10100111
11000010
00010110
11010000
00110101
00000100
00000001

standard or this with the second transmission inverted

00000001
10010010
10100111
11000010
00010110
11010000
00110101
00000100
00000001

Why did I invert the second transmission well, I seem to recall an episode of Futurama where that particular number was seen and they made a deal about it but a bigger deal was made out of the number when it was viewed in the mirror... sooo

Though with that said I am beginning to wonder if we should invert all transmissions?? hmmm

As for some translations, I tried going from Bin to Hex on both of them and came up with these

As transmitted Hex: 49A7C216D03504
Invert Trans 2 Hex: 92A7C216D03504

Both of my hex translations have dropped the BOT and EOT transmission codes as they do not affect the codes themselves

0 means that number didnt get used in decimal.
Heres the chart help yourself:
1 2 4 8 16 32 64 128
so if binary is 00000001 then its decimal number 128 but you have to figure out what letter that represents because i dont have my basic book to look up the decimal in ascii.

heres how to make sense of it but i think lucasarts is making fun of us because the chart on the website shows a french character for 128 but just look up the decimal number below okay before assuming anything which i do know binary because I still use my cisco class binary conversion but i never though it would come in handy outside the class ;):

http://www.kerryr.net/pioneers /ascii2.htm

Okay make sure to put the binary in order to the numbers above and add the binary under the numbers thats how i got 128 for the first one.
Hope this helps! ;P

To help get you started on heres a sample binary statment:
128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1
equals = 255
another example mixed up:
128 64 32 16 8 4 2 1
1 0 0 1 1 0 0 0
128 + 0+0+16+8+0+0+0 = 152

As of today, there are 8 binary tweets.

In order of oldest to newest, they are:
00000001
01001001
10100111
11000010
00010110
11010000
00110101
00000100

Spark has mentioned a few methods of decoding this binary message in the past. They have mentioned Morse code as well as that binary is often translated to hexadecimal which is translated to "something else." With some research, hexadecimal is commonly used for color codes (RGB values). A big clue he gave us was that he said that we should be watching for an "EOT" or an "End Of Transmission." This is most commonly used in Morse code. An issue with decoding it is how many possibilities each line could be.

So I was perusing the StarWars.com section on Celebration 6 and I noticed something. On the list of attractions it stated "Get a hands-on experience with Star Wars videogames from past, present, and future." And future.
As far as I know Kinect is the only SW game officially in development, and it releases April 3. Does this hint at a game announcement? It may be making something out of nothing, but it seems like a hint to me.

The thing is i really can't see him giving any obvious clues away,no matter how cryptic he makes the clue,as he has already said that the Publisher wants to announce the game

off course i am sure we are all thinking the same thing after those two letters if true :/

actually its been 5 tweets as of today:

00000001 01001001 10100111 11000010 00010110

and he said simple binary to ascii won't work :(

also, here's a tweet from earlier today:

"Haven't you read through the tweets for the last week? It's a ocde... a binary code. To something out of this world." Note "out of this world."

yeah they announced that second project a few months back..Action/Horror game

as for Spark the twitter feed has been posting binary numbers, been using a Binary Translator but not really been getting anything at the moment, but when you write in Binary it can be a million Zero's and Ones before you have one word in some cases,LOL

this is what they have posted up to now in 3 tweets
101001111100001000010110

it can't be translated yet until the full message(or at least a word) is done, but we can be ready :)

http://www.convertbinary.com/

oh and don't forget people,Star Wars Kinect is out in under 2 weeks...no,i am not meaning "lets get excited about Star Wars Kinect"....but what i do mean is that when that is released, there will be no more Star Wars games to my knowledge announced

so maybe time to announce one after the kinect game release, hmm? ;)

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums, but I have been watching this topic for quite some time now lol

anyway I noticed this today

Also, the spark unlimited twitter updated stating: "I am quite sure the game will be released in this galaxy. My wormhole generator is busted and I don't have the time to fix it." A sign? hopefully so!

Anyway, hope to be on the forums more often, and can't wait to see what people find later on down the road!

EDIT: Just noticed the spark unlimited projects section, never new they were working on something new. My b everybody!
