Hello all,
Hope I can get some help with this. I recently installed Star Wars Tie Fighter from CD ROM Collection addition and when I launch from the executable get the gui to select play Tie Fighter at this point I am prompted to install direct X 5 .... install or cancel... I would have thought since I already have X-wing Collection series installed and it plays just fine that this would already be installed. If I hit install it lists all the directX items that are installed and they all show up as ok except for direct3d???? I hit the reinstall button and it pops up immediately that installation is complete however when I try to launch the game I am still prompted to install directX 5.2.
I have run the test utility that comes with the game and it tells me my machine has passed all the test and is qualified to play Tie Fighter but problem persist. I have also run dxdiag and my machine passes all test with no problems.

Any help you might provide would be greatly appreciated.
