I want to know something.......How many of you think LA will anounced SWB 3 and why?
I want to get to a conclusion that proves that SWB 3 will be anounced.
I WANT PROVES. I'm tired of hearing people argueing whether SWB 3 will be anounced or not.
I think it will be announced at Comic-Con. Why? Because the game Spark Unlimited is working on fits the description of Star Wars Battlefront 3. Also, Spark Unlimited is working with Unreal Engine 3. Lucasarts recently purchased the license for Unreal Engine 3. And at the bottom of Spark Unlimited's website there is a countdown till Comic-Con.

See... isn't that obvious that they are keeping something secret.
And here is what I sent to the same person:
Hi (confidential),
We are all working towards an announcement by the publisher sometime this show season which includes E3 2011. But I could easily see the publisher not wanting to say anything till next year. A publisher could see an announcement as cannibalizing the press and attention to other games. Publisher routinely move project news and dates around based on development and market conditions. So, we could easily be working in the dark for awhile. We won’t know till the publisher says “go”.

Hi Rob,
As a developer, Spark typically does not attend the show in a corporate capacity. That is the role of the publishers who show off the product. Generally speaking, Spark will be “at the show” because our staff tend to attend them and have meetings with various vendors and associates while there. Occasionally, we do have a recruiting booth at GDC or Siggraph. But we do not do so at E3. So, you won’t find us in the E3 exhibitor guide. But if you are at the show, maybe we will bump into each other. I will be there.

Well John is a cool guy I wrote a letter to him once and even made a youtube video from it, but in here it seems like he is going towards the fact that the publisher will indeed announce the game at E3. |

E3 season doesnt mean it will happen during E3. Nevertheless, I emailed Spark today and asked them if they will be attending at E3. If not, there's little to no change LA will announce it/show it.

I also think SWBF3 wont be at E3. So save yourself for another dissapointment. Comic-Con is when we should get our hopes up.

Every time i tried playing online with ps2 or xbox it lagged non-stop. PC's have the best connection all of the gameplays on youtube are probably 98% PC.
battlefront 3 just come out

sorry i don't think the PS2 is WiFi connected,you also have to buy an Internet Adaptor thing to plug into the back (and even then its only wired) to get it online
best bet is getting a Phat PS3 and playing it on there |

HERE are some stickers Microsoft sent to the press for their E3 press briefing. Shows a lighsaber, says Luke Skywalker and May the Force be with you. It's probably about Kinect Star Wars, but still...
i was going to say how the character in the kinect game didn't look like any main character i know...but then again he was fighting Stormtroopers and the Droid Army,as well as Darth Vader in the Naboo Palace grounds so from all that i guess it certainly isn't canon ..unless the Empire kept a few Droid Army tanks when they turned them all off |

They don't need a big booth to announce new games. The booth will probably be there to show Kinect Star Wars and maybe some TOR. Although TOR will likely be at EAs booth. They could still announce a new game, even if they didn't have a booth. They could also announce a new game and just show it behind closed doors. They did this with the Force Unleashed concept video at E3 2006. The press saw it, we got descriptions, but it wasn't until some time after E3 06 that we got to see it.

Well, what should I say? I agree with you in the main, but some points could be discussed about. But there is actually no sense in doing so. Believe me, I will not say things like that again. About E3. With such a small booth I don't think there will be anything about SWBF3, unless LA surprisingly has a contract with a huge game developer.

I don't believe Char Ell even works at LucasArts and wouldn't know anything about it. Unless he does work at LucasArts with a signed NDA. Right?
