I guess it really isn't politics so much as favoritism in terms of development. They cannot make the composer mad. I guess I'll just be listening to this beautiful soundtracks on my headphones.

I didn't think the Indiana Jones Lego game was that amazing to begin with. I'm glad I read this forum because I always wanted about the audio of the soundtracks. They have such a good sound, and I'm sad that you cannot buy them. That's politics for you.

" We decided to put out a crappy game to please all our Indiana Jones fans who have been anxiously waiting for this game to come out"
" We hope we have utterly disappointed them" " We are now focusing all our attention to Lego Indy which will hopefully make us more money"
Who cares about loyal fans and quality"

Thanks LA!

I can't stress enough how disappointed I am in this boring boring slow boring no action freezing up boring game!! Played it today and it is even worse than I had ever feared!! I am very dissapointed that I have been waiting 2 years for this game and it turned out to be one of the worst I have played in 10 years. Seriously TERRIBLE!!!

The game will definitely have localization in German on the audio side, but I'm having
trouble finding out who specifically plays Indy in that version. Will need more time!

Any information on that matter would be GREATLY appreciated. If "our" people are gonna get punched and shot in this game by Indy, I think we deserve to hear his usual voice before it, at least. ;)

What!? Harrison Ford will not be doing the voice of Indy?! Didnt you ask him? Im so disapointed ( NO OFFENSE to John Armstrong im sure he's good and all). I find Harrison would have been more othentic. But i do admit this game seems better than Emperror's tomb which was top of my list for years. Im like the ultimate indy fan i know that it might be hard to get Harisson Ford, and it might be pricy... But trust me,the money you would spend to get him instead of john( John im sorry no offense to you im a huge fan of yours) the money you would spend would definetly reflect through your sells. Perfect Examples (Everything for Nothing stared all the authentic actors playing themselves, Wheelman stars Vin Diesel, Spiderman series stars Tobey Mcguire) All these games star the real actors and not impersonators. My point is im still buying this game but im going to be disapointed not to hear Harisson Ford as Indy. Why cant he play him?

who is the voice in the german version (Wolfgang Pampel off course?)

and my other Question

Do the german Indy fans get the talkie Version of Indy 4 too (like the first wii videos)

and will the voices change to german voices (that would be very very nice)

Hee, thanks for the answers, but did you mean to let slip that Henry Jones Snr is going to be the second character in Co-op? That's been mostly kept secret so far!

Hi! Thanks for the infos... And there's something else I'd like to know about audio: will there be a specific voicing cast for every country the game is going to be released (in other words, there will be a vocal localization?) And are there multiple languages stored in the same support in order to make the player able to choose at every time he wants either the original voices or the foreigner ones? I remember IJET has this option and I remember I had lot of fun by hearing French voices or German ones... I hope there would be a similiar option in SOK too! JediMudkip, please reply. TIA.

Much better turnaround on this one, wasn't it? I got a chance to bother the audio team directly, and they are some great guys to chat with. Their answers and your questions are below.

*
Will any of the new tracks from the soundtrack being available to buy or download?*

Unfortunately, no. We won?t be releasing an official soundtrack. As a professional courtesy to Maestro Williams, we do not release soundtracks for our Star Wars or Indiana Jones games. Maestro Williams is kind enough to allow us use of his music in our games, and as a thank you to him we do not compete in the marketplace against him for soundtrack sales.

Who's doing Indy? David Esch?

David Esche won't be appearing this time around, instead we'll be getting John Armstrong. You might recognize him as the voice of Han Solo in Empire At War.

*Any other voices we'd recognise? *

We've got a few great voices who take part. While you're battling thugs in Chinatown, keep an ear out for the voice of the killer in Scream. Yes - Scream. While he won't be telling Indy that he's in his house, Roger Jackson plays a number of thugs Indy comes up against. In the Co-Op mode, Indy pairs up with his father, the great Henry Jones Sr. Lewis MacCleod took the reigns for the familiar voice, but the hardcore Star Wars fans know him better as Sebulba, the great pod racer from Episode One.
*
About the audio... will loyal Lucasfilm-Fans hear a good, old Wilhelm in this game? *

Our favorite scream makes more then one appearance, yes.
*
So, How many audio tracks are we going to listen during the gameplay??? *

The soundtrack is composed of about 40 minutes of brand new tracks created by Gordy Haab and Ray Harman. The rest of it (hours of it) is made up of never-before-heard music from the days of Raiders and Temple of Doom. We wanted to keep the feel of the old movies, but we didn't want to beat you over the head with the old music. It strikes a great balance.

*Has Ben Burtt been consulted or had any involvement in the game development process? *

While some of his sound effects from the original films (punches, falls, etc) make it into the game, Ben hasn't been around during the devlopment of the audio. He's a busy, busy guy.

*Can we listen to any music track at any time? *

There isn't a Jukebox mode, sorry.

There you guys go. Some great little factoids about the audio of the game. Sebulba? Really? That's awesome to me. Many thanks go out to Jesse Harlin, Wilbert Roget, and David Collins (three of our sound hombres) for their help with this!
