Never mind Star Wars, where the heck have all the ORIGINAL, GOOD games gone?! Grim Fandango is the best game I have played. Heck, most of your games made before I was born are brilliant and are some of my favourite games of all time. I hope LucasArts stop making Star Wars games and or make bad ones so that people won't buy them and then they'll have to make new, good, original games again. Or...if you aren't reselling any of the games (DOTT, Monkey Island 1 and 2) then sell the linceses to a developer who cares about the adventure games you once made.
I think this comic sums it all: http://www.mixnmojo.com/galleries/gallery.php?gallery=391&i mage=5017

I, for one, certainly hope not. I'm sure the LEGO Star Wars games were great and all (I never played them) but with 3 LEGO Star Wars games released in the past 3 years I think LucasArts has pretty much burned out LEGO Star Wars for a while.

LucasArts and BioWare Corp. to Create Ground-Breaking Interactive Entertainment Product
SAN FRANCISCO, CA and EDMONTON, CANADA -- October 30, 2007 -- LucasArts and BioWare Corp. today announced that they have entered into an agreement to create an interactive entertainment product. The product, details of which will be unveiled at a later date, will be developed and published by BioWare and LucasArts, and will push the boundaries of the gaming market by utilizing the strengths of both companies to deliver an innovative, high-quality experience.
"LucasArts has a deep commitment to developing compelling stories and characters for the unique medium of interactive entertainment, and we have been searching for a developer that shares this value. We found this in BioWare," said Jim Ward, president of LucasArts. "Through our previous collaborations, we know that BioWare has an impressive ability to blend gripping stories with technological advancements, and we believe that our upcoming product will deliver an experience that will span the traditional boundaries of video game entertainment."
"BioWare's mission is to deliver the best story and character-driven games in the world, delivering powerful emotional experiences to our fans." said Ray Muzyka, chief executive officer, BioWare Corp. Added Greg Zeschuk, president of BioWare Corp., "The collaboration with LucasArts allows us to combine our passion for creating high quality and innovative experiences with those of a company dedicated to bringing only the finest games to market."
Looks like those rumors of a KotOR MMO might be true. Would be good imo, get someone besides Sony working on it. After all, they took a great game...pulled its pants down and raped it non-stop until everyone got smart and left (if you still play...leave).

Agreed. SWG was a much better concept than a KOTOR MMO. But when Jedi started popping up it sent the whole thing to hell.

I agree with most everyone else, It seem like Lucas Arts doesn't bother looking at the forums or what their fans want... and no offense but it almost seems like they are about as smart as a box of rocks.
I mean look at some of their series they seem to have thrown out. KOTOR, SW: BF, SW: JK all with strong fan backing, all sold well or really well, so they could go "Hmm these titles done really well, so let put them here on the shelf and forget about them and ignore all our loyal fans, so we can go ahead and try something different like, Fracture and Thrillville."
I mean wtf? I am starting to wish the Star Wars Licensing right would belong to someone else.

I really want to know what happened to REvan after she left and if the exile is going to play also a large part in her or his return???
Please!! Don't let us wait any longer because KOTR is just the best game I ever played even better then the Sims!!

Uhm, I may be against EVERYBODY on the forums, because LA has become more a Star Wars fan site than a Game Developer company site.
However, I'm happy they are starting to make bad SW games or no SW games at all.
It has been enough of them. I know it sells, but what about the rest of the ppl who doesnt like it?
I think they forgot the games that made this company be what it is now: Monkey Island, Grim Fandango? Do you remember those names? Those were awesome games. That is what LA can do, not the same SW games over and over and over and over and over!
Maybe now SW isnt selling too much they realize what do they really have to do.
I heard once that they werent developing adventure games because nobody plays them. THAT IS 100% FALSEEEEE!! There are TONS of Sam & Max, Monkey Island, Grim Fandango fans!
Anyway, just wanted to say that and: LA! Keep up the bad work Maybe you reconsider and make those great games you used to make again..

I recently participated in a LucasArts survey that asked a ton of questions about the "Empire at War" expansion. Apparently, they hired an outside firm to do the online survey, so they could improve/expand on that series.
LucasArts should offer a survey on what their fans want. It would be money well spent and that way we could voice our opinions on KOTOR3 and other much-needed games.
I for one would like to see the X-Wing/TIE Fighter games re-invented for today's market.

how about XWA2 that's X-Wing Alliance 2 for those who are so out of touch that they think KOTOR/2 are the best accomplishments the LA has ever had...
