one more try... now that i finally got my system running normal again. this is simply for my son's sake. i cancelled my SWG account (been a member since pub 6) and started an Eve-online account. if it works this time i may renew SWG after they are done fixing that game.
I am having the EXACT same problem as luisf. , right down to not even being able to execute the Launch Analysis! The only thing I see is the cursor turn into an hourglass for a split second...then NOTHING. Nothing at all.
I have to admit, in 20+ years of computer gaming, this is the first time I've just flat out not been able to get a game to work on one system that works perfectly fine on another (especially since I'm the maintainer of both systems). There's usually at least some sort of "duct tape" solution that I can employ to get a piece of software basically functional. But not in this case.
Just my two cents, LA: Securom (and their ilk) is killing you people. It's doing nothing to prevent piracy. It's doing nothing more than stopping paying customers from getting their money's worth. And you can believe it isn't Securom's support lines that are lighting up. It's yours. YOU get to bear the brunt of a dodgy piece of "security" software. Does NO ONE on the development staff even read PC Gamer, or any trade publication? Security software is killing the PC game industry FAR quicker than piracy ever will.
Release a Securom-free version of the game and I'll guarantee 75% of your support issues instantly vanish. I'd rather pay a 10% additional premium on the price of a game than deal with this three-ring circus.
I am having the 1330 error as well as the 1603 error. The Domestic US patch loads about 85% than hangs there for a while then completely disappears. Would really appreciate an update on the main page instead of searching through all these forums.
I`m having problems with the patch as well. Instead of the installer asking me if I want to install the game, I get an uninstaller asking me if I want to remove the game. I have removed the game manually and did a search for all files and deleted them and ran a reg cleaner and still have this problem. Does anybody know what could be causing this?
Hi there!! Let's if anybody could help me. My installation was perfect, with no erros. But the game dosen't launch. Nothing happen's at all when I click on the Lego Stars Wars II icon. I already tried to donwload the updates, and it still not working. And by the way.. I tried to create the analysis file, and even that it is not working.
i have also tried the different methods suggested here including the installer from bkuhner (sp?) and none worked. luckily i have found another modified installer for the game on the gamecopyworld.com site that worked for me. Didn't try the installer patch from LA, but i don't see why i should uninstall the game now after getting it to work so i might install it again with the LA installer that apparently might not work...
The patch doesn't work for me too. I don't know, if it fixes the 1330-bug. Before i come to that point, another error occurs: "Error: -2 Transformpaket". (German game, XP prof & home, all MS-updates till today)
I got this error before, when i tried both of the two published workarrounds (rename defaul~1.cab and the patched msi-file).
LA needed 8 days to develope a patch that doesn't work.

like the title says, patch doesnt work for me. i am highly upset. my son has had the game since tuesday and yet to be able to play it. we cannot return the game due to Target's policies on games. now i cannot even uninstall the game. when i try to play it it doesnt load. just goes to a white screen and sends an error report to windows.
i will never buy another LA game again and I cancelled my SWG account. I am simply tired of this junk. If anyone knows a workaround on the installation of the new patch please reply. I am done with LA, but my son is going nuts to play this.
