yeah, i also understand you. I've played the demo of Empire at War and it looks good so far but i don't know if I will buy it because the one thing that annoyes me is the thing with the Collectors Edition coming out before the normal version. Why? I mean, it costs the same as the usual version, but i really don't know what I should do, because if i want to buy a game and there is a special/collectors edition i usually need to have the special edition. The point is, i don't have enough trust left in LA to buy the game without any reviews or something like that from a gamesite or a magazine. But if I wait to read reviews and decide after that it will maybe be too late to buy the Collectors Edition..... I hope you understand what i mean

Actually it's more: Can't they do ANYTHING right? The post states there are a lot of bugfixes, so why post it in a general forum (which should be used for gameplay stuff as it's not a technical support forum as one of the sticky's clearly states).

I mean: why would XBox/PS2 users care about the PC patch? It's like posting the details about the PS2 patch in this PC forum...

But I still think the messed up the game itself at release, they messed up the patch (as it's now officially 3 months and a day after going gold) and they even messed up some sort of an official announcement (or at least the closest to an official announcement we seem to get) by posting it in the wrong group (actually posting a technical announcement in the general group against their own rules).

So for me LucasArts is totally finished. You just don't do something like this. You can't have paying customers wait for 3 months on a patch to solve even the most basic problems.

But I've already vented my point of view in other threads...

And I know myrtlepomp isn't with me on this, but I don't care. I feel I have the right to be angry at LA for showing such a nice case of bad management.

I hope it fixes the problems because I just had the last system crash I will tolerate with this game.

I've had the game two days and I suffered through probably a dozen crashes. I'll try the patch when it does come out, but if that doesn't fix it, I'll be done with LA.

What time sunday would you think ? I got this game Oct 31/Nov 1 and have yet to play more than a few minutes. I won it actually by winning a costume contest at my local Hastings. P.S. I was the young Obi-Wan. lol

yep,i have to agree.ive moved on too battlefield 2 now. there patches and editor have been much faster coming ,and the game is much more communitty freindly etc etc.
this patch would have to be something really really really special to even make me consider this as one of my top played games again.its gonna be too little too late i feel.
i also would have to say that the length of time lucasarts/pandemic have taken to even provide a basic patch or editor, coupled with the fact that they released an xbox 'money grabbing'expansion before a basic pc patch has left with me with the strong feeling that it would be highly unlikely that i will invest in 'any' of the companys future products .
